About

One of my earliest memories is my very first piano lesson. I was five years old and immediately drawn in by the sound, the feeling, and the sense of discovery. I continued my classical training throughout childhood and found joy in exploring as much music as I could get my hands on. Some of my fondest memories are of uncovering my parents’ vinyl collection and the emotions that came with it — the profound sadness in Roberta Flack’s First Take, and the impact of the stereophonic separation on the Beatles’ Rubber Soul.

I went on to study music as a piano principal at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I majored in Music Therapy and Film Scoring. Studying at a contemporary, jazz-focused school was a striking contrast to my classical background and an incredibly rewarding experience. While at Berklee, I was awarded the Gary Burton Scholarship for my work in music therapy.

After completing my music therapy internship at Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago, I worked as a board-certified music therapist in hospice care, specializing in supporting patients with neurodegenerative diseases at end of life. This work deeply shaped how I listen, how I connect, and how I meet people where they are.

In 2017, I opened my home piano studio in Sugar Hill, Georgia, where I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels. My teaching is individualized, creative, and grounded in the belief that music should be meaningful and accessible. I continue to study piano and remain active in performance and teaching communities, always growing alongside my students. I still enjoy discovering music both old and new.
